Cult Japanese brand and community favourite for designer slides, SUICOKE was founded in 2006 initially as an accessory brand and released its product exclusively in Japan, over the years it's gone on to being one of the most sought-after and well-produced slides and sandals brands in the industry.
The brand then went on to produce technical footwear for the outdoors, with their light hiking sandals becoming a huge hit with outdoor enthusiasts. They quickly saw that their fanbase was increasing worldwide, and went on to attract Italian outsole manufacturer, one of the best footwear manufacturers around, Vibram, who collaborated on a custom sole for SUICOKE, consisting of padded arches to match the natural shape of a foot, enabling it to move in the most comfortable and natural way and ensuring long-lasting comfort for long journeys.
Vibram now blesses every pair with its cloud-like comfort, which of course propelled the brand into a whole new category of desirable and performance footwear. SUICOKE’s unique design aesthetic gained the attraction of consumers overseas, and as expected, quickly got picked up by the fashion community as a sport and lifestyle sandal essential, a community who now class the product as a wardrobe staple and quickly become a go-to brand when choosing slides and sandals.
On most SUICOKE Sandals, on the upper shells, you’ll find they come in either a technical nylon canvas fabric or strong webbing material to allow for sturdy strap adjustment coming with a textile logo patch.
On the interior, you’ll find a soft nylon mesh, allowing for some breathability and also some grip whether you’re into wearing socks with them, or not. The sole comes in either a moulded Vibram foam rubber footbed or an EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) foam and rubber footbed, both of which have special cushioning properties to ensure each step gets fully absorbed whilst also carrying high heat and cold resistant properties.

Each pair comes with a treaded sole, which ensures a non-slip and sturdy step. Some have a thicker platform, and some have the regular one. Most fastenings consist of soft neoprene, with ultra-durable velcro fastenings finished with a plastic tip, the MOTO-CAB is our favourite example here.
The main question everyone is asking is how do SUICOKE’s fit? In our opinion the designer slides, boots and shoes always fit better when they are 1 size bigger. The brand doesn’t offer half sizes, and if you go for your normal size, you’ll probably wish you took our advice. So, if you’re usually a US5, opt for the US6 and so on, this will allow a little extra room for them to be even more comfortable, and will also allow space for you to pair them with your favourite socks.
There’s no doubt about it that when it comes to SUICOKE collaborations, theyre pretty much always going to hit.
