London design studio NewTerritory has developed the conceptual wellness product to help treat depression and many other mental health issues through their revolutionary idea of inhaling the psychedelic in microdose form, at your own pace, and in your own doses, with of course strong anticipation of a legalised future for the substance.
The studio names the product “Human Nature” and suggests a new, interesting way of consuming your microdoses, through a tailored microdosing platform called the “spacer”. Aside from the usual ways of microdosing, sucking on a pink dildo-like inhaler does seem pretty unnecessary at first, but probably quite fun at the same time and could actually work a lot better for you than other methods.
If you’re into microdosing, eating raw mushrooms or drinking from a fungus tea can sometimes not be the nicest way to start your day, so actually breathing in the product in small doses and being able to manage your intake as you please sounds like a pretty amazing upgrade.
Like many other psilocybin products, NewTerritory propose a small amount of psilocybin (the psychoactive compound found in magic mushrooms) and Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) to be consumed in small doses with their concept inhaler dubbed the “Spacer”, with the aim to help treat depression and many other mental health issues.
The product would be contained in biodegradable capsules and dispensed through a simplified inhaler allowing you to breathe in your content in small doses, similar to your usual CBD vapes.
The idea behind “Human Nature” is to promote the idea of breath work, mindfulness, meditation and overall how breathing exercises can have such an amazing benefit on the mind. The idea is for users to relax and inhale the product at their own pace, leaving out the risk of taking a capsule and start seeing faces in your coffee at work. (We’ve all been there).
The inhaler can even be used over a longer period of time and used in doses over several minutes whilst practising meditation and mindfulness. Often people can struggle with finding their right dose when it comes to teas, capsules or raw mushrooms, so managing your own dose as you go through small inhales really does sound like a great way to start consuming.
NewTerritory design studio is planning to produce 4 different types of capsules, two of which are currently not legal, and two of which are currently being used by doctors. Each pod will have its own set intention with the aim to treat different well-being aspects.
“Focus” will contain LSD, which looks to help with short-term memory and increased concentration
“Create” will contain psilocybin, with the aim to increase creativity and expression.
The other two are substances which are already being implemented into medicine by doctors.
“Dream” would contain the sleep hormone Melatonin, to help calm the mind and relax reaction responses
“Relax” would contain CDB, with aim to ease cognitive tension and limit the production of stress hormones.
